Safe HV switching up to 33kV

HV work on a live generating site has to be planned, documented and controlled. We carry out switching programmes and isolations, apply safety earths and issue the documents that allow your contractors to work safely.

Maintenance works

Testing, fault finding and replacement

Planned preventative and corrective maintenance across the DC, AC and HV parts of your site.

1500V string testing

Open circuit voltage, short circuit current, polarity and insulation resistance testing on 1500V DC strings.

IV curve testing

IV curve tracing to find underperforming strings, degraded modules, shading and mismatch.

PV module replacements

Removing and replacing damaged or failed modules, then re-testing the string.

Inverter replacements

Swapping out and commissioning central and string inverters, with minimal downtime.

DC cable fault finding

Finding and repairing earth faults, damaged cables and connector failures on DC string cables.

Torque testing

Checking torque on structural fixings and electrical terminations against manufacturer specifications.

Thermal imaging

Thermographic inspections of modules, combiner boxes, inverters, switchgear and transformers.

Transformer oil sampling

Taking oil samples for dissolved gas analysis and condition monitoring of transformers.
